[00:01:51] On the show, our relationship was sometimes rocky.

[00:01:58] We are so glad you are here to join us this trip down memory lane.

[00:02:03] We love that the family is back together again.

[00:02:11] Hello, everybody.

[00:02:13] Episode 11.

[00:02:16] I realized as we were coming into this that we hadn't figured out who was going to say hi.

[00:02:22] Yeah, I know.

[00:02:23] I'm like, hello.

[00:02:24] Is she going to do it?

[00:02:25] I don't want to have one of those moments where we both start talking.

[00:02:28] Welcome to episode 11, everyone of the Lost Girl Rewatch Podcast.

[00:02:33] The season two finale.

[00:02:35] Yeah, covering episodes 21 and 22.

[00:02:39] It's very exciting.

[00:02:40] I can't believe we've made it to the end of it.

[00:02:42] It's probably how you felt when you were filming.

[00:02:45] I was out of my mind at this point in filming.

[00:02:47] I remember being like, is it day?

[00:02:50] Is it night?

[00:02:51] Hello, lamppost.

[00:02:53] Hello, puddle.

[00:02:54] Just normal things I'd see.

[00:02:55] And I'd be like, what?

[00:02:56] I'm coming out into the world again.

[00:02:59] Because we filmed in so many dark places towards the end.

[00:03:02] Literally just dark, dungeon-y type of places.

[00:03:05] And 22 is a long haul.

[00:03:08] It's a long haul.

[00:03:09] It was 10 and a half months of filming.

[00:03:12] But it was fantastic.

[00:03:13] It was the first time I'd had that experience.

[00:03:18] You know how you reach a place of burnout and then you kind of crash,

[00:03:21] but then you come out of the ashes and then everyone's a bit of a weirdo?

[00:03:25] Yeah, you do.

[00:03:26] You're like in a coma.

[00:03:27] It's like sleepwalking.

[00:03:29] It is.

[00:03:29] But then everyone becomes a bit of a weirdo and it becomes fun again.

[00:03:33] So that's kind of where we were at at this point.

[00:03:37] And it's funny to watch because

[00:03:41] there was so much crammed into these last two episodes.

[00:03:43] I mean, so much.

[00:03:46] It's like they...

[00:03:47] There's so much talking.

[00:03:48] People get in blood.

[00:03:48] People lie in.

[00:03:50] People die in.

[00:03:52] People just...

[00:03:53] And just so much information that we have to get across.

[00:03:55] And so many funny jokes and just so much happening.

[00:03:59] So episode 21 was called Into the Dark.

[00:04:02] Emily Andras wrote it and it was directed by John Fawcett.

[00:04:05] I remember being so excited that John Fawcett was back.

[00:04:07] And at the beginning of this episode,

[00:04:10] the fiddler that's in the bar that's playing at Chiara's Wake,

[00:04:14] that was Ashley MacIsaac, who is a very famous Canadian fiddler.

[00:04:20] He's played with Paul Simon and people like that.

[00:04:23] Emily That's kind of cool.

[00:04:24] Emily It is very cool.

[00:04:26] Emily Yeah.

[00:04:27] Yeah, and he's amazing.

[00:04:29] He used to be on stage with an electric fiddle and a kilt.

[00:04:32] He's badass.

[00:04:34] And I have a little Ashley MacIsaac story, a real life Ashley.

[00:04:37] Well, he was on the show.

[00:04:38] But before that, when I was in...

[00:04:40] Emily Real life, you say?

[00:04:41] Emily Real life, not pretend life.

[00:04:45] I don't know how old I was.

[00:04:46] I was probably 24, let's say 23.

[00:04:53] And he was playing at a middle school.

[00:04:56] And for some reason, I went.

[00:04:57] I don't know why.

[00:04:59] So it was me and a whole bunch of middle schoolers.

[00:05:01] And everyone was going up to meet him after and get his autograph.

[00:05:05] So I waited in this clump of teenage girls.

[00:05:09] And he's drawing on his face and making everyone laugh.

[00:05:12] And he gets to me and he's like, whoo, whoo, whoo.

[00:05:14] What's your name?

[00:05:15] And I was like, I'm thinking like I'm a grownup, but I thought I can't get into all this.

[00:05:20] So I just went, Anna.

[00:05:24] And he signed my thing and I was like, thanks.

[00:05:27] I just pretended I was a middle schooler and somehow I was able to get away with it.

[00:05:31] But I feel like that's the only thing that's one of the few times that it's better to be

[00:05:38] a woman because if you were a dude, there's no way you would have made it

[00:05:43] to the front of that line.

[00:05:43] Like someone would have taken you out so fast.

[00:05:46] So fast.

[00:05:47] So fast.

[00:05:47] So creepy.

[00:05:49] You were in line with all the high schoolers.

[00:05:51] I know, but I was just blending in and meeting Ashley MacIsaac.

[00:05:56] And then he played on Lost Girl.

[00:05:57] So he opens up this episode and it was really cool to have him there.

[00:06:00] I remember just honestly he's magnetic the way he plays.

[00:06:05] It's incredible.

[00:06:06] So we were very lucky.

[00:06:07] So yeah, it opens on Kiara's wake, sadly.

[00:06:10] Mm-hmm.

[00:06:12] And this is the point in the story where Bo is really starting to ask a lot of questions

[00:06:17] of Tric.

[00:06:17] You know, it's in our blood.

[00:06:19] Like she kind of knows that there's some kind of connection.

[00:06:22] So she's onto it.

[00:06:25] And in this episode we learn she says to Tric like you're my father, aren't you?

[00:06:31] And he says no, I'm your grandfather.

[00:06:33] And then we get into the history of that.

[00:06:34] So Bo learns all of that, which is huge for her to learn.

[00:06:38] I love that the Nane Rouge was back.

[00:06:40] That little girl was amazing.

[00:06:41] And so she was back and badass as ever.

[00:06:47] And I love in this episode we get Vex back.

[00:06:50] So then Vex comes in, he's sort of like Bo and Kenzie's roommate that they don't want.

[00:06:57] And Paul is so...

[00:06:58] You call me one of those.

[00:06:59] Yeah. I mean, Paul as Vex is just...

[00:07:02] It's almost like he just...

[00:07:05] Every time he's on screen, he's like blazing this sort of separate...

[00:07:11] I don't know what it is.

[00:07:11] Like he just...

[00:07:13] He's relentlessly Vex.

[00:07:15] He was born to play that part.

[00:07:17] Yeah, he was.

[00:07:18] And it's relentless.

[00:07:20] Like there's no relenting and I love that.

[00:07:22] Right? Like I just love it.

[00:07:23] Because Vex is basically just Paul's personality, like amped up a hundred.

[00:07:28] Yeah.

[00:07:29] They really are so one in the same in many ways.

[00:07:34] I mean, Paul does some of the murder...

[00:07:35] I mean, I think...

[00:07:39] Is that true of every character on our show do you think?

[00:07:42] In a way?

[00:07:43] But Vex in particular.

[00:07:44] Vex in particular for sure.

[00:07:45] No, for sure.

[00:07:45] I think everyone when you get a part, that's...

[00:07:48] It's a part of you.

[00:07:50] Some of acting, even if it's a tiny little experience,

[00:07:52] you just sort of amplify it for that character.

[00:07:56] But I think the thing is there a lot of the other characters on the show,

[00:08:02] I feel like many people could amplify parts of their character and have played them well.

[00:08:06] I think that other actresses could have played Tamsen

[00:08:09] and done a great job and very much been Tamsen.

[00:08:12] But Vex is the one character on the show.

[00:08:14] I'm like, I don't know.

[00:08:16] Paul, like could it...

[00:08:17] It's so specific.

[00:08:17] Do I know any actor who could have done that better?

[00:08:19] Like a Canadian actor?

[00:08:21] I don't think so.

[00:08:22] He really killed it.

[00:08:23] He killed it.

[00:08:24] So yeah, he killed it and it was so good to have him back.

[00:08:29] And this is also the real hero moment for Kenzie because Kenzie,

[00:08:34] they go to the Norn, Dyson wants his love back.

[00:08:38] Kenzie goes back with the chainsaw and starts chopping down that tree,

[00:08:41] which is a really big moment.

[00:08:44] And I think I wasn't in that scene, but I was there that day

[00:08:47] and I can remember walking through the studio and all I could smell was like chainsaw gas fluid.

[00:08:52] It was like...

[00:08:53] It was strong, but anyway.

[00:08:58] I love...

[00:08:59] Let's see here.

[00:09:01] I kind of wish now had been like more...

[00:09:05] This is maybe...

[00:09:06] Wait, is it this episode or next episode?

[00:09:07] No, I think she comes in the next one.

[00:09:08] Okay.

[00:09:10] Okay.

[00:09:11] But in terms of Bo and Lauren at this point in the story,

[00:09:14] I love the scene Bo comes in.

[00:09:16] She's been injured by the red caps, this fight that she's had.

[00:09:19] And she comes into Lauren and she's like,

[00:09:21] Lauren, I need...

[00:09:23] And Lauren's like, to heal?

[00:09:24] Okay, sure.

[00:09:25] Like she starts to take off her clothes and Zoe is so charming and cute in this moment.

[00:09:29] And Bo's like, no, easy.

[00:09:31] Easy lady.

[00:09:34] They were working towards this relationship again,

[00:09:36] but it was just a very cute, charming moment for Zoe.

[00:09:39] And it was this whole thing of they have that exchange.

[00:09:42] If you take my breath away.

[00:09:44] And I have signed a lot of headshots with you take my breath away or breathless

[00:09:47] because people were really drawn to that scene.

[00:09:49] So that was in that episode.

[00:09:53] I love...

[00:09:53] Oh my gosh.

[00:09:54] I mean, this is where Emmanuel is back.

[00:09:57] Wait, can I just pause you?

[00:09:58] I love how both of us sign a lot of headshots from a scene with Zoe.

[00:10:04] Yeah.

[00:10:04] But yours is you take my breath away and mine is eat a sack of tits.

[00:10:12] That just speaks volumes.

[00:10:14] It speaks volumes.

[00:10:15] It really does.

[00:10:16] It actually couldn't be more perfect, frankly.

[00:10:20] And both with Zoe, yes.

[00:10:22] This is Emmanuel's big...

[00:10:25] Well, she's got the seduction scene, which is amazing.

[00:10:28] So she comes...

[00:10:29] First of all, Emmanuel's figure is ridiculous and she's such a beautiful woman.

[00:10:34] And so she comes in and she's seducing this guest star.

[00:10:37] I mean, I would love to talk to that guest star because he came in

[00:10:39] and got to be seduced by Emmanuel Beauger and then had like this scene with her.

[00:10:44] Anyway, she comes in and she's being all seductive.

[00:10:46] And she says something like, the pepper sprays in the drawer or something.

[00:10:52] It's just like this funny line.

[00:10:54] There's another character.

[00:10:55] Maybe I don't know.

[00:10:56] Emmanuel.

[00:10:57] I feel like could someone else have played her character?

[00:11:00] I don't know as well as her.

[00:11:03] I don't think so.

[00:11:04] And I actually remember when they were initially looking for that character.

[00:11:09] The very beginning...

[00:11:10] Well, I auditioned with a bunch of Morrigans in LA.

[00:11:13] They came in to read with me when they were trying to cast that character.

[00:11:18] I'd already been cast, Chris had been cast,

[00:11:21] and then Ksenia and Zoe had been cast and Rick and Clay.

[00:11:29] And then they were looking for the leader of the dark.

[00:11:32] And originally they had some...

[00:11:35] Because you know how they put in the office,

[00:11:37] they'll have like inspiration photos or like ideas of the type that they want.

[00:11:42] And the Morgan originally was much older, much, much, much older.

[00:11:46] Had real seniority in terms of her age as well.

[00:11:51] But I think it was very cool that they got this very Cruella de Vil woman who also...

[00:12:02] It's not even really about age.

[00:12:03] Emmanuel is just...

[00:12:05] I feel like Emmanuel as the Morgan is like a broad.

[00:12:11] She was like a broad when she was like seven.

[00:12:15] She had vodka in her freezer at seven.

[00:12:18] She had like little bottles of Tito's.

[00:12:20] Yeah, exactly.

[00:12:24] And she was rocking it out then.

[00:12:26] I don't know.

[00:12:28] So yeah, she feels totally...

[00:12:29] And she was so amazing in this part.

[00:12:31] And this scene is epic for her.

[00:12:33] And she has talked about it at cons because this is the one where she's seducing and

[00:12:36] then she's down to her bra and underwear and dancing around and then starts doing,

[00:12:40] you can't touch this because Zipvex is controlling her.

[00:12:44] So it's that amazing scene where it's Emmanuel, obviously,

[00:12:47] that's doing all that ridiculous dancing.

[00:12:50] Nude.

[00:12:50] Well, not nude, but mostly nude.

[00:12:52] And I just think I would love to talk to that guest star and find out how he felt that day.

[00:12:58] So yeah, so that happens.

[00:13:00] And then Beau shows up to seduce the Morgan, which is another scene I love with

[00:13:07] Emmanuel, which was really fun to do.

[00:13:10] It had... I show up in a trench coat, which I still have that trench coat actually.

[00:13:15] I have random things.

[00:13:16] You love so much stuff.

[00:13:17] I do.

[00:13:18] I know. Yeah.

[00:13:19] Well, I'm a little bit of a hoarder.

[00:13:23] No, it's nice to have.

[00:13:25] I do have that trench coat still, but Beau and Ebony are now making out a little bit.

[00:13:31] Not crazy, but there was so much put into this episode.

[00:13:35] Is there anyone on the show you didn't make out with?

[00:13:37] I don't know, but I will... I don't know. Well, Tric.

[00:13:42] Like any of the main characters?

[00:13:45] I didn't make out with Tric and I didn't... I licked Hale's face.

[00:13:51] That counts.

[00:13:53] Okay. Well then, yeah.

[00:13:54] Well, does it count?

[00:13:55] Does it? I mean, but Emmanuel's reaction to Beau's powers,

[00:14:02] I've never had anyone react the way Emmanuel did, which was really interesting.

[00:14:07] When she did it for the first time on set, were you surprised? Did she do it that way every take?

[00:14:16] Yeah. Because most people that react... So when a guest star would come on to react

[00:14:21] to Beau's powers, they'd be like, okay. Because they don't know the whole show.

[00:14:25] They're just like, okay, so what is this feeling? And I'm like, it's kind of sexual.

[00:14:28] You got to have a sexual reaction, but also euphoria, whatever your interpretation of that is.

[00:14:33] Some people would come up with varying degrees of that.

[00:14:38] But most people took it as kind of like a seductive trance that they would be in.

[00:14:42] Where Emmanuel, I use my powers and she's like, wow.

[00:14:47] She's almost like a dog going like, no, but loving it. It was just so perfect.

[00:14:55] It was so perfect.

[00:14:56] It's so good.

[00:14:56] It's so good. Yeah. The pepper spray is in the drawer. I think that's what she said to me.

[00:15:00] That's also kind of like him in real life.

[00:15:02] It is. Exactly. She knows what she wants. She says what she wants.

[00:15:10] Yeah. There's no wondering.

[00:15:15] No, and there's no heirs to her.

[00:15:17] No. And she just works hard as a human.

[00:15:24] She goes after things. And I know. Honestly, I've always been blown away by her.

[00:15:30] Episode 11, loving our castmates.

[00:15:33] Loving our castmates. Exactly. Bo has a lot of speeches in these episodes. There's a lot of

[00:15:41] okay guys, a lot of welling up and speeches in these two episodes.

[00:15:45] Do you remember that being overwhelming at the end? Like learning those?

[00:15:49] Or had you kind of gotten into the vibe of-

[00:15:52] I think I spoke more like Bo in that 10 and a half months than like me.

[00:15:58] So at that point, you read it once and you're like, okay, got it. It's just so you're in that rhythm.

[00:16:05] But we were all kind of emotional. It was the end of season two. At this point though,

[00:16:10] we knew we were coming back for season three. It had been confirmed. So we weren't wondering,

[00:16:15] oh gosh, this is the last time we're going to see each other like this.

[00:16:18] So that we knew we were coming back, which was really nice.

[00:16:20] Um, anyway, so then we lead into, you know, Bo's giving a speech. She's got a plan. She's

[00:16:28] the champion. We're going after the Garuda, all that stuff. We get into episode 22, flesh and

[00:16:34] blood written by Alan McCullough and directed by Steve DiMarco, who I remember that, I mean,

[00:16:40] Paul talks about that at conventions. It was when Steve had, there was like a prop,

[00:16:45] like wheelchair and he had it. He had a monitor taped to it and he wore like an army helmet.

[00:16:52] Like he was just, he was ready to go. He was ready to go. Um,

[00:16:58] he's such a true artist. He is. I just, I love people who really just know who they are

[00:17:06] or they're willing to constantly see who they are in every moment,

[00:17:11] you know? But also not afraid to like lean into their freaky, you know? Yeah. Um, and, and their,

[00:17:18] their weirdness or their eccentricities or it's, it's so, cause everybody has them,

[00:17:24] but I think a lot of people, some people have more of them, but some people just get very

[00:17:29] good at not even hiding them. It's just, uh, like a secondary part of your character,

[00:17:35] but I just love people like Steve. I mean, who, who does that? Who shows up in an army helmet

[00:17:40] to work? Who does that? It's great. Well, if a soldier, maybe they should, I mean,

[00:17:47] they really need one. Right. Right. Um, but also like, did you feel when you were growing

[00:17:52] up, did you feel like, were you, was it easy for you to like be your own person? Did you

[00:17:58] feel pressured to fit in or conform or what, what do you, what do you, a mix of both at different

[00:18:06] times? I think. Can you hear my son crying in the background? Yeah. I know. Um, he's like,

[00:18:16] don't tell me you tried to fit in. You're your own woman. Also, where are you?

[00:18:25] There is someone watching my son for everyone who's listening. Um, I think when I was a really little

[00:18:33] girl, I never felt the need to fit in. I just was myself. Then I think everyone goes through

[00:18:38] that phase of being bullied, which happened to me actually after I lost my dad. And at that

[00:18:44] point, I think I wanted to feel a part of something for a blip, but then also I went

[00:18:49] to an art school, you know, so everyone was kind of weird and that was celebrated.

[00:18:54] And I think that was a really good space for me. It wasn't until later till I got to

[00:18:58] university that I felt like I had a phase of time where I just wasn't true to myself.

[00:19:04] Right. Um, but I think everyone goes through that. Did you always feel like you were

[00:19:09] yourself? Please. No, no, I never did. I was so, I, yeah, does everyone like me right now?

[00:19:19] I can't even tell. I'm just kidding. Um, no, I feel like I, I was so concerned about it that

[00:19:26] I wish I hadn't, I wish I'd been less concerned about it because there were so many things I was

[00:19:32] so curious about as a kid. Um, cause I was a very imaginative kid. I was drawn to certain

[00:19:42] things, but I never pursued them because it wasn't what the popular girls at my school,

[00:19:48] who all had the matching sweatsuits on was, were doing. That's the truth.

[00:19:54] I also think it is normal for the most part for children to want to conform to one another,

[00:20:01] you know? Like even the most- It's probably in our nature, like our primal,

[00:20:04] like, you know, it keeps you surviving. Yeah. Yeah.

[00:20:09] When did we get on this? I don't know. Oh, cause Steve DiMarco.

[00:20:14] Okay. So he definitely knew who he was and he showed up to this episode. Okay. So yeah,

[00:20:19] now we're on a totally different topic. It's a different podcast now. It's um, okay. Uh,

[00:20:24] I, oh yeah. So I love the scenes at this point in the story between Trick and Bo,

[00:20:27] because now they've got that element of family cause now she knows it's his

[00:20:31] grandfather and they're so beautiful. Rick was so great in these scenes and they're so,

[00:20:35] they're so heartful. Like we're just full of heart in all of these scenes. And it was

[00:20:39] really, really nice. Um, until, you know, Trick goes missing, which is upsetting

[00:20:45] for the, for the gang and we've got to go after him because not only is he Trick,

[00:20:48] he's also the Blend King. So, um, and then we've got Raul back as in his full force of the

[00:20:58] Garuda, you know, uh, in Rick's episode this season, cause you weren't, you did not host

[00:21:04] that one with me, but he described, um, Raul so perfectly. He said, he was like, he's like

[00:21:11] Arizona. I'm like, yeah, he is. He is like Arizona, like just like earthy, um,

[00:21:21] earthy and like of the, I'm going to say earth again, uh, of the dry like desert.

[00:21:31] He's just like, like the mountainous, why didn't you give me other words about Arizona?

[00:21:38] He's a, he's got like a pulse underground pulse to him.

[00:21:42] This is what I'm going to use as the clip for the preview of the episode.

[00:21:47] We try to describe Raul as Arizona as described by Rick. This is really good. Um,

[00:21:55] anyway, I thought it was a very good description. Um,

[00:21:58] it sounds like

[00:22:02] it's perfect. It's perfect. If you met Raul, you would have been like, God,

[00:22:06] why am I thinking about Arizona? Yeah. Arizona. Um, I love there's such a lovely scene in this

[00:22:11] episode to you between Bo and Kenzie Kenzie is so, you know, cause any of so good in this

[00:22:15] scene where Bo says to her, like, if, if things go south, you have to kill me.

[00:22:20] And Kenzie promises to kill her. Luckily it didn't have to go that far. We needed another

[00:22:24] season. So, um, and then Val is back as you mentioned, which was so great to see her come

[00:22:30] back. I just feel like Val, I feel like they could have done more with her.

[00:22:35] Honestly, I thought she was in more episodes because I felt her presence. Yeah. I mean,

[00:22:42] they brought her back. Maybe they could have brought her back in later season because at

[00:22:47] this point she joins the gang. Like she comes in with weapons and she's like,

[00:22:51] I'm ready to fight with you guys. You know, I guess it's a thing in when you have an ensemble

[00:22:57] cast there and there were already a lot of cast members in lost girl. You can't, there's only so

[00:23:05] much time in every episode to pay lip service to each character. So more characters you add,

[00:23:10] the bigger problem that becomes. Yeah. You got all these, she was one character that I

[00:23:16] would have liked to have more of. Me too, for sure. But she's great in this episode.

[00:23:24] And you know, another big speech from Bo comes with this epic kiss to between Bo and Lauren.

[00:23:32] It was just one of those I may never see you again. Let's do this big kiss,

[00:23:37] which was lovely. Then, you know, people get stabbed, various things happen. Blood is

[00:23:45] exchanged. Blood is exchanged. Bo fights the Garuda. And then finally,

[00:23:53] the Garuda trick and then, no, the Garuda tricks trick. Doesn't he tell him all this stuff?

[00:23:57] Yeah, the Garuda tricks trick. Yeah. Which were all great scenes.

[00:24:03] And then flashing back to that time. And yeah, then I remember, then the end. But I just

[00:24:11] remember the last scene was in that little thing off the bar. That little vestibule. What's

[00:24:18] that word? Little nook. The little drinking nook. I had so many chats in that nook with Chris.

[00:24:27] Chris and I used to go in that nook when we were filming. Like for real or for Tamsin?

[00:24:31] I know, like for real life. And we'd go in that nook and we'd sit there and we'd just

[00:24:34] have these epic chats about life. And that's probably the most memorable part of all the sets

[00:24:40] for me. The minute you said the nook, I was like, yeah, I know. I can vividly remember stories

[00:24:49] Chris told me in that. Wow. To tell. We're going to have to have an episode of stories from

[00:24:55] the nook. That nook actually was in the real bar that the Dalriada was based on. Because

[00:25:03] when we shot the pilot, we shot in a real bar in Hamilton and that had a nook.

[00:25:09] I wonder if that bar is still there. Do you remember the name?

[00:25:13] No, I don't. I do not. That'd be really crazy. It'd be really cool. I know.

[00:25:18] It's a wall because people could go visit it.

[00:25:20] Well, next time we find ourselves in Hamilton, we'll go get a pint. Sit in the nook.

[00:25:28] And then in that last scene, Bo looks in the mirror and sees her eyes glow blue.

[00:25:32] Go blue. Yes. Which is really cool. I remember filming that. I remember

[00:25:37] everyone was like, thank God we're done. I believe that was... Was that the last scene

[00:25:42] we actually filmed? I can't remember. But the crew was exhausted but very happy because

[00:25:50] people had worked extra, extra that season. And we had a really happy cast and crew

[00:25:58] and we knew we were coming back. So we were all pretty happy and ready to take... We only got

[00:26:04] I think a two and a half months hiatus. I can't remember when we started filming

[00:26:09] season three. Three, which thank goodness we will see finally Miss Tamsin.

[00:26:18] 900 episodes later. Boom. We're going to turn the spotlight around onto Miss Tamsin.

[00:26:24] It's a bit of a tease because the first episode I'm not in.

[00:26:28] I know. God damn it. Maybe we should just have you a floating head in that episode.

[00:26:35] Just somehow place you in there. I don't know how we would do that.

[00:26:38] I remember being so excited that I was on the show and that it premiered.

[00:26:46] I made my whole family sit down and watch the episode and they were like,

[00:26:49] but you're not in this episode. I was like, that's not the point.

[00:26:53] No one understood what was happening for me.

[00:26:57] But yeah, we'll figure out something good. Speaking of which, I guess before we do the

[00:27:04] voicemails, should we talk a little bit about season three?

[00:27:07] Let's talk about season three.

[00:27:09] Well, this is my dog.

[00:27:12] This is a noisy episode. That's my dog, Honey. Oh no, that's Nami. I've got too many

[00:27:17] dogs. She's barking over there. It's okay. So yes. There's one thing I want to say

[00:27:24] about season two before we talk about season three and before we answer the final voicemails

[00:27:29] for this season. Because season two of this episode was a challenge for us in terms of

[00:27:38] we had so many great guests, so many great guests. We had Chris come back.

[00:27:42] We had Paul and Zoe come back and Rick, but then we had Vincent Wall. She was like,

[00:27:48] so don't you want to go to the bar in Hamilton with him and have a drink in the

[00:27:53] Nook? Yes. That was such a funny episode. That actually didn't even feel like you were

[00:27:57] recording an episode. It just felt like you were recording an episode.

[00:27:59] He's one of those people that can just, he holds you. He's got this energy that holds you,

[00:28:06] which is so nice. And Michael Cram was so nice for me to talk to from the Bodyswap

[00:28:11] episode. He's such a lovely person. And Kat, I know who has since had her baby.

[00:28:17] She put it on Instagram, which is so sweet. So congratulations to Kat.

[00:28:23] We had Erica, who was wonderful. Oh yes. Nami loved Erica and the lovely Erin Ashmore who

[00:28:31] we had last week, who was so great. But the tricky part about this season, you guys, is that-

[00:28:37] Aside from having regular sound in our podcast.

[00:28:39] Besides dogs barking, Nami, get into your bed. She'll do it. Watch. She'll do it.

[00:28:47] She'll do it. I may have to get you to sing for me for a moment. Hang on a second, Rachel.

[00:28:56] This is real life. Oh wow. Actually, it's such a beautiful background.

[00:29:00] So when we started this podcast, I don't know if you guys can see on the videos,

[00:29:04] but Anna was having construction done. So it was always just a tart when we do anything.

[00:29:09] Sorry everybody. No, I'm saying look how nice your background is.

[00:29:13] I know. It's gorgeous out there now. Remember when it was just a tarp?

[00:29:17] I know. It's beautiful and look, everything is growing.

[00:29:20] I know. So-

[00:30:04] Anyway, not the point. Anyway, so point is this. Season two

[00:30:08] of this podcast was challenging because with these guest stars on, oh, I forgot to mention

[00:30:15] Lena. We had Lena on too, who is so lovely and I love just talking to her. I've thought about

[00:30:21] that conversation a lot actually. But most of these characters we had on had guest arcs on

[00:30:29] the show. To everyone listening, when you have characters on like that, they're not necessarily

[00:30:34] in consecutive episodes. They might come in in like two, six and nine or something like that.

[00:30:40] It makes it very hard to get episode specific when we broke it up the way that we did. It

[00:30:46] made it a little bit challenging for us. I think we handled it. I think we did a great

[00:30:50] job and I'm really proud of this season. I think we did. I'm just looking up how many,

[00:30:54] I can't even remember how many seasons there are in, or sorry, episodes. We did 13 next

[00:31:02] season. In season three, yes. We did 13. Yeah. Season three, let's talk about season three

[00:31:11] of the pod. Season three, we are not going to be taking such a long hiatus from the pod.

[00:31:19] We are going to be coming back to all your devices wherever you listen to us

[00:31:24] or watch us much sooner than before. I think we were just a little overwhelmed by season

[00:31:31] two and it took us a long time. I know. There was a lot of life happening in between.

[00:31:37] I had a child. Yeah, I mean, we grew up human and small things.

[00:31:44] Yes, we're going to be coming back at you very shortly. I will obviously be continuing

[00:31:52] to co-host the episodes with Anna. Yay, because you're in every episode but one.

[00:31:58] In every episode, but one. I know.

[00:32:03] I can't wait actually to see some Tamsin. I cannot wait. Anyway, go ahead.

[00:32:08] We are also going to be changing Patreon ever so slightly because we're always trying to

[00:32:15] come up with ... We're so grateful for everyone who supports us on Patreon and

[00:32:19] we want to make sure that you feel valued. We'll continue to release the videos of the pod

[00:32:28] on Patreon for you to see, but we are also going to add some ... We haven't come up with

[00:32:38] a name for it yet, like Coffee Time, Tequila Time.

[00:32:43] Coffee in the nook? Nook.

[00:32:47] No, that's not true. That's true. That's not nook. We'll do better. Those are initial ideas.

[00:32:55] Yeah. If you have a name, maybe make a comment.

[00:32:58] Yeah, please do. What can we call it? We're going to be live. Anna and I are

[00:33:02] going to be there. We're going to hang out. We're going to do some live chats with Patreon

[00:33:06] members. If you want to be a part of that ... Oh, there we go. We had another thing,

[00:33:12] making noise. That's not the podcast. If you want to be a part of that and you are not a member

[00:33:18] of Patreon, feel free to join Patreon if you already are. Thank you.

[00:33:22] That's great. We'll see you there. Thank you. Those are some of the differences.

[00:33:26] If you have any ideas for things that you'd love to see on the pod-

[00:33:30] Anything you would love to see. Yes. You'd love to have on the pod.

[00:33:35] We are so open to anything that you'd like to do and we're also just not at first to

[00:33:42] changing it up and having different ideas for what we do. Let us know in the comments.

[00:33:50] Please send ideas. Speaking of voices from the fans, should we do some VMs?

[00:33:57] Yes. We're going to still call it VMs. Okay.

[00:33:59] VMs. Really pushing it so hard.

[00:34:02] I know. I just want to get it in there. Right? So we have-

[00:34:06] That's like my first one ever. You've ever said that?

[00:34:14] Yeah. I never get it in time. I never connect the dots in time.

[00:34:18] You know what? I couldn't connect the dots for years and years and my husband would make fun

[00:34:21] of me and then finally one day- Congratulations.

[00:34:25] No, those are cool and I stand by them. I always wanted to say six of one half

[00:34:32] dozen of another. Six of one half a dozen of the other.

[00:34:35] Yeah. Do you think that every time I'd go,

[00:34:39] oh it's so hard, I just couldn't get it out? I'd be like, it's six and a dozen.

[00:34:43] It just never worked because I'd be like, God. Then one time it just rolled out of me

[00:34:48] and Seth was like, what? I'm like, I know I got it.

[00:34:51] I actually have a question for you because this is one thing Alex struggles with. For

[00:34:56] anyone who doesn't know, it's my husband. He's French. English is his second language

[00:35:01] and he always says, but now he's messed it up so many times. I actually don't even know

[00:35:06] which one's right. Do you say it's the cherry on the pie or the cherry on the cake?

[00:35:15] I think it's the cherry on top. No, it's on one of those things.

[00:35:23] Maybe it's the cherry on top. If I was to say that a cherry was

[00:35:28] on anything, it would be on top. The cherry on top, the cherry on the cake. I would say cake.

[00:35:34] Does he say pie? Yeah. Every time he says is the cherry on the pie.

[00:35:41] I'm like, I don't think that's right. Maybe he says it's on the cake. See,

[00:35:43] now I don't even know. No, you don't even know. Either way,

[00:35:46] it's adorable. Either way, it's adorable. I love it.

[00:35:50] All right. Let's listen to some- Okay. Let's do some voice-outs. Our first

[00:35:52] voicemail and our second voicemail and our third voicemail. We have three voicemails in a row,

[00:35:58] my friends, from Amy. We're going to listen to one at a time and answer them. Amy,

[00:36:02] you've been such a big supporter of this podcast. We appreciate you. Let's hear.

[00:36:10] Hey, Anna. It's Amy. I must know what it was like meeting Anthony Lemke.

[00:36:17] What was it like him coming on set for the first time? Did you guys screen test together?

[00:36:25] Because your chemistry with each other is ridiculous. So, do tell. Thanks, guys. Have a good one.

[00:36:35] Well, Amy, I'm actually glad you brought him up because that is the one hole in this season of

[00:36:40] the podcast. We did not get Anthony on as a guest, but he is incredible. Yes, you can't not

[00:36:49] have chemistry with Anthony Lemke. That guy, you have to keep up with him. We did chemistry

[00:36:56] read together. I remember in the office at the production offices, I went upstairs on my lunch

[00:37:01] break and he was just sitting in there comfortably, script in hand. As soon as I

[00:37:07] walked in, I was like, oh yeah, this guy. All right. He was amazing. You really have to keep

[00:37:12] up with him because he's just a really quick dude. But Anthony and I actually did a movie

[00:37:18] together many years before that called, I can't remember what it was called, but we were in a

[00:37:24] movie together. I muted myself because I was like, my child is so loud. But I'm looking

[00:37:31] because I think I can't remember the timing of something either. So I'm trying to look

[00:37:38] it up. But anyway, it doesn't matter. You were on a movie with him. Yes, I was in a movie

[00:37:41] with him called, oh my God, I can't remember what it's called. They just can't. But it

[00:37:44] starred Terry Polo. It was in Montreal and he lived in Montreal at the time. He was on that

[00:37:52] movie and he's such a good looking dude. He's just quick. He has that Tom Hanks,

[00:38:07] Robert Downey Jr. quickness to him. He was really fun to work with. So yes, Amy, I'm glad you

[00:38:13] asked about him. He was a huge part of season two. I loved working with him. Actually, my husband had

[00:38:20] written a short film while I was filming season two and then Anthony was the star of that short

[00:38:24] film. So my husband knows him very well as well. And he's a good dude. You want Anthony

[00:38:31] Lemke on your show? Anyone out there who's casting a show? You want them. Trust me.

[00:38:36] So good question, Amy. Okay. Amy's next question. Hey, Rachel. Hi, Anna. It's Amy.

[00:38:48] I'm leaving two messages because, well, it's too long to leave in one. So yep, you're welcome.

[00:38:56] This is just a simple thank you for this year's podcast and wanted to wish you both

[00:39:02] a wonderful summer with your friends and your families. Rachel, I can't wait to hear about

[00:39:10] the behind the scenes from you next season. I know there will be lots of stories from

[00:39:15] your perspective and I'll be here for all of it. So I'm just saying thank you both

[00:39:20] for doing this for us fans. You know how much we appreciate it.

[00:39:25] That's so sweet. Thank you, Amy. That's so, yeah, that's really lovely for you to say.

[00:39:30] And we love doing it. And it's been, for me, it's been a real trip to watch all these

[00:39:37] episodes because I have not thought about this particular storyline or these episodes in so long.

[00:39:44] So it's been really actually a gift to me as well. And to do this with you is magic, Rach.

[00:39:51] Agreed.

[00:39:52] Agreed. Okay. I have one more voicemail from Ms. Amy.

[00:40:04] Hey guys, it's Amy. Thank you for an awesome rewatch this year. Have a great summer with

[00:40:12] your families and have either one of you ever thought about directing? Thanks a lot. Have a

[00:40:18] good one. A resounding no. A resounding no for me as well. It's people want to do it.

[00:40:28] So many actors want to direct. I feel like, I understand and I've had wonderful directors

[00:40:35] that are actors, but some of it is like if a director turned around and was like,

[00:40:40] I'm going to do your job. And sometimes I'm like, these directors, they like actors hone

[00:40:46] their craft for years and years and years. And I don't think just because you're an actor,

[00:40:51] you can be a good director. It is a hard job because then you're managing everything

[00:40:59] that's going on on set rather than just your own character. But secondly, they have all the

[00:41:03] same pitfalls as actors do. Like having to move around, be away from their families, crazy hours.

[00:41:13] Their creativity is also dictated by studios and networks and things like that. No interest.

[00:41:21] No, I kind of feel the same. And I think you know how people say like, oh, this person's an

[00:41:25] actor's director. I don't think you need to have been an actor to be an actor's director.

[00:41:29] I think you need to have sensitivity to story. And there's so many directors that do. Some don't.

[00:41:38] Some have sensitivity to the visual of it, but so many do. But there are so many actors

[00:41:44] that want to be directors. I am not one of them. If I was to do anything else in this business,

[00:41:52] I've always thought about writing, but I've never thought about writing scripts. I've thought

[00:41:57] more about writing novels, just random novels or some kind of romance.

[00:42:07] Oh, there's another dog barking. There's so many noises.

[00:42:12] But that is a very good question, Amy. Thank you for that question. Okay. So

[00:42:20] next one. I don't know who it's from. It looks like it might be from someone named Anna

[00:42:25] or it's for me. I'm not sure how this one was labeled, but we'll see.

[00:42:30] So this question is for Anna. I'm interested to know more about both makeup routines,

[00:42:36] like what products she uses, how long does it take to do both makeup?

[00:42:40] And in general, could you tell us more about the process of getting makeup in the show

[00:42:45] and maybe give some tips to do such a makeup? Thank you so much for answering.

[00:42:50] Oh, you know what you should do? You should do a bow makeup tutorial.

[00:42:56] Oh my God. We should do a bow and hamster makeup tutorial.

[00:43:03] Yes. Because we had very similar makeup. I actually

[00:43:07] do remember a lot. I mean, I could never do it as well as Linda.

[00:43:12] I could never glue the lashes on as well as Linda. That's what I would struggle with.

[00:43:16] We can try. Absolutely. In fact, in these last two episodes, I noticed how much my eye had so much

[00:43:22] black makeup on my eyes. They were like my eyeshadow was so dark. But that's a great

[00:43:28] question. And so yes, we can do a tutorial. Yeah, I think we should do that.

[00:43:32] Let's do that. Okay. Let's do it. Oh my gosh. That's ideas. Perfect.

[00:43:37] And to answer your question briefly, it would take about... I'd be in the hair makeup

[00:43:43] trailer for about an hour and a half. Once they had it down, about an hour and a half, I would say

[00:43:47] for hair and makeup. I'd always have to come in with clean hair

[00:43:51] and they'd put it all my clip-ins because then that way they can style your hair before

[00:43:55] you get there. And then they clip it in. It also saves your hair a little bit.

[00:44:01] And then makeup would take the longest. It would take at least an hour for me. It really

[00:44:07] would. There's so many layers to it and so much eye makeup.

[00:44:11] That's, to be honest, pretty typical. I feel like on shows that...

[00:44:14] Yeah. And sometimes by the end of the day in real life, the makeup looked so thick and heavy

[00:44:20] on our faces. But then it would light with David Green's lighting. We'd be like,

[00:44:26] but yeah, it took a chunk of time. And then guys come in and they decide if they're

[00:44:31] going to shave their beard or not. And then they leave somehow. Unless they want a bit of

[00:44:35] liner or something. Some guys want that. I remember Linda, I don't know about for you,

[00:44:40] but for me she had this like, it was like a three pack and it kind of had... I used to buy

[00:44:45] them at this place called Shoppers Drug Mart, which is from Canada. But from the US,

[00:44:52] it's like CVS or whatever. Oh no, no, no, no. It's better than CVS.

[00:44:57] I know it's like a drug store where you can get unique things.

[00:44:59] It is, but it's just better. That's just better. I really love Shoppers.

[00:45:02] No, I agree. I agree. I have my optimum points. None better. But for everyone out there,

[00:45:09] or like for you in England, it's like boots. Actually, boots is amazing.

[00:45:14] So it's a three pack and there were three colors. And I remember it was actually one of

[00:45:20] the lesser expensive things in Shoppers. And that's one thing Linda did a really good job

[00:45:26] of. She would use beautiful makeup, like more expensive makeup, but she knew how to find makeup

[00:45:34] that didn't necessarily have to be expensive to be good. And I think that's a real mark of a

[00:45:41] very good professional because sometimes I'll go and everyone just says everything Chanel,

[00:45:45] and Chanel's great. But she was able to find like hidden gems of things.

[00:45:51] Honestly, the bronzer I used was a Shoppers Drug Mart. It was great.

[00:45:56] I used that palette for years in my own life after because it wasn't expensive and it was

[00:46:01] really accessible, but it looked beautiful. And she also had the artistry too. She could

[00:46:07] have taken a crayon and made us look good. So I know.

[00:46:10] Linda was incredible. She was really incredible. She just knew how to do beauty makeup so well.

[00:46:18] Some actors request specific makeup. Like a guest star can come in,

[00:46:22] if they're kind of a slightly bigger name or something, they'll be like, I only use Armani,

[00:46:25] blah, blah, blah. And the makeup artist has to provide that or they bring their own. That

[00:46:29] happens sometimes too. But anywho, you really have to wash that makeup off at the end of

[00:46:34] the night. It takes a lot of scrubbing. Especially around the eyes.

[00:46:40] Especially around the eyes. Yes. Okay. Next question.

[00:46:47] Hi from Ukraine. My name is Anna and here's my question. Do you think Bo and Lauren will

[00:46:54] find a way to turn Lauren into a fae or somehow just do something that she doesn't age and she

[00:47:01] and Bo can be together forever? Because personally I have this idea that they could somehow turn

[00:47:06] Lauren into a vampire. Because in this case, their relationship would be just perfect.

[00:47:11] Like, I mean, Lauren would be able to bite Bo and feed on Bo's blood. And Bo would be able

[00:47:17] to feed on Lauren's chi to heal and stuff. It would just be perfect in my opinion.

[00:47:23] What's your idea on this? And do you think they could come up with something like that for

[00:47:28] Lauren? Thanks for answering and sorry for my accent. I love you girls.

[00:47:33] Okay. First of all, don't ever apologize for your accent.

[00:47:36] I know it's so beautiful and charming. And we have an accent in Ukraine. So there you go.

[00:47:42] Also, why weren't you in our writers room or one of our producers? Because that's a great idea.

[00:47:47] It's a great idea. No, but I'll tell you, no, it's a great idea. And I love that,

[00:47:55] you know, an idea of trying to keep Bo and Lauren together for eternity.

[00:48:02] Yes. One thing that they never wanted to have on Lost Girl, but they had one in season one

[00:48:09] in our pilot, which was episode eight, was a vampire. So they because vampires have

[00:48:15] been everywhere. They wanted to once they had that vampire in and out, he was he who was

[00:48:20] amazing, but he was gone. And then they didn't want another vampire on the show. But I do

[00:48:25] like the way you're thinking about this, Anna. And it is something to think about.

[00:48:29] And it reminds me that one of the things I did not mention, which is probably

[00:48:34] the most important part of the end of this season, story wise, is you really start to see

[00:48:40] the love triangle starting to build up again between Bo and Lauren and Dyson. So they

[00:48:45] really want to tease that out into season three. So yeah, so I mean, we know where

[00:48:50] they end up. But you know, Lauren is human. So we'll have to think of we need an alternate

[00:48:59] ending where she turns into something immortal. Good question. OK, next question is from

[00:49:06] Carolyn. Hello, Anna and Rachel. This is Carolyn coming to you from Derby City,

[00:49:17] Louisville, Kentucky. Just have two quick questions. Number one, have you ever been

[00:49:23] to Louisville? And if not, would you consider visiting? Also, we always talk about your

[00:49:30] favorite episodes. But what was your least favorite ones? Thank you for doing this podcast.

[00:49:35] I love you guys. Thank you. I have been to Louisville, Kentucky with my brother on one of our

[00:49:46] American road trips because you knew this, Anna, how my brother and I, like it was also

[00:49:53] oftentimes in the hiatus of Lost Girl, we would drive because we wanted to see every state

[00:49:57] in the United States. So yeah, I've been there. It's beautiful there. So beautiful.

[00:50:03] And there's a quality about it that's, I don't know, it's kind of like New Orleans

[00:50:10] where it has, there's like a soul to that city that you just feel as you enter it. That's

[00:50:17] how I felt about Louisville, Kentucky. Did it remind you of Arizona?

[00:50:22] Perfect. Just kidding. I'm kidding. I have never been to Louisville, Kentucky. I'm sure it is

[00:50:27] beautiful. The United States are beautiful. There's so many beautiful states. But yes,

[00:50:35] of course I would come visit should I find myself with that opportunity.

[00:50:41] But this is a good question. Did you hate any of the episodes? Be honest because you know

[00:50:45] what, I'm going to start because when I joined the show, I felt like all I heard about was,

[00:50:54] and it's no shade to the person who played the Garuda, but you guys were like,

[00:51:00] F the Garuda. All of you across the board were like, oh, we're so tired of that story

[00:51:07] of that. We said the word the Garuda 100,000 times. So I feel like you guys didn't love

[00:51:18] some of that. I think that is true and it was no shade to the man who played the Garuda. He

[00:51:27] was amazing. But I think what that was about was because we had gotten that extended season

[00:51:33] and then they were extending that storyline. They were really trying to figure that storyline

[00:51:37] out. There tended to be a lot of repetition and urgency around that repetition.

[00:51:45] There were times when we just felt like, wait, Garuda, what is... So we were getting a

[00:51:50] little bit, not frustrated, just a little aimless with where we were headed with that,

[00:51:57] just behind the scenes. But I think it played on camera well. It was just challenging to

[00:52:05] bring every day and really not feel aimless at times. Were there episodes I didn't like?

[00:52:11] I think there's episodes that... I mean, there's some... Okay. In terms of filming,

[00:52:19] I just remember not loving filming the stripper seals episode. Was that this season? That was

[00:52:24] this season. That was this season? It is not because the writing or the directing or

[00:52:28] the incredible guest stars. None of that. There was something about filming it that just...

[00:52:32] It isn't even the stripper content. That's fine. That's welcome. Strippers welcome.

[00:52:39] It was just something clunky about filming to me. But when I watched it back this season,

[00:52:46] it wasn't as crazy as I had remembered. That's what I felt about the Krampus episode.

[00:52:52] Oh, I loved filming that one. And you talk about that one all the time.

[00:52:56] I know. I just remember being in that warehouse with people on conveyor belts going into...

[00:53:02] And I was like, what is happening? I just remember it being like, I need this day to

[00:53:07] be over. I don't know why. I don't know why. But I'm interested to watch it back and see if

[00:53:12] I feel the same. Yeah. Let's see. Was that season three? No, it wasn't. It was season four.

[00:53:17] Four. Yeah. The reason I remember is because I know what dress I wore in that episode.

[00:53:24] Because it was a very unbeau type of dress. And I knew that I had just had a baby.

[00:53:29] Because when you put on a dress, you've just had a baby, it's going to fit a little

[00:53:32] differently. And I just remember having that dress on and they had cut it so perfectly for

[00:53:36] me. And I was so grateful because I was like, oh, thank you so much. I don't have

[00:53:39] to feel self-conscious or whatever. I could show up feeling good. So that's why I remember

[00:53:44] it was season four. But thank you, Carolyn. That was a great question. We have one final question

[00:53:50] from Elizabeth. Hi, this is Elizabeth Fitzgerald calling from New York. The podcast

[00:54:00] has been bringing me so much joy and I think we could all use a little more joy in our lives.

[00:54:05] So thank you so much for doing this for us every week. Anywho, my question is season two

[00:54:11] specific. I know the season was originally 13 episodes and then you found out later about the

[00:54:17] additional nine episodes. How much of the script did you already have before you found out about

[00:54:23] the back nine? Did you only have a few episodes or the whole season and what major or even minor

[00:54:31] changes did you see to the script aside from the fact of the additional episodes?

[00:54:37] Thank you for answering my question and I hope you have a beautiful day.

[00:54:42] That's a great question. Yeah. Well, here's the thing.

[00:54:46] Zinger questions.

[00:54:50] Zingers. I thought you said senior. They're not all seniors.

[00:54:56] So I'll clearly direct it towards you.

[00:55:01] Burn. You just wait till season three, Tamsen. Yes, the senior can answer now.

[00:55:10] Zinger questions.

[00:55:11] No, they're good. They're good questions is what we're saying. So Elizabeth,

[00:55:17] I can't say that every show works like this but it's very typical and Lost Girl certainly

[00:55:23] did this. We don't have all the episodes when we start filming. Before we start filming

[00:55:28] season a season, we get episode one. Yeah, but they've usually mapped out.

[00:55:32] They have mapped out and written a lot. Yeah, and that can change but we don't see that.

[00:55:37] We just see episode one comes out. We get it. We read it and then there's a ton of rewrites by

[00:55:45] the next time you read it and they have different color pages that come to your trailer.

[00:55:48] Usually, it's very secretive from actors. It's so secretive from actors. They won't tell us

[00:55:53] anything. The only time on Lost Girl I had someone tell me was Michael Grazzi. He sat down

[00:56:01] and told me exactly what was going to happen with Tamsen that season to the best of his

[00:56:06] knowledge. He was our showrunner in the final seasons and that was very... I remember sitting

[00:56:12] there being like, why is he doing this? Am I being framed? Are you filming me?

[00:56:17] No. It's not how they do it. Yeah, I know. So we don't really know

[00:56:22] things ahead of time. We just know what comes out in the next episode.

[00:56:29] We're often reading a day or two before the table read.

[00:56:33] So then we've got to jump into it. Sometimes it's hard to go from one episode to the next

[00:56:37] mentally because you're like, wait, am I still fighting? No, no, I'm doing this now.

[00:56:41] But in terms of the nine, we had no idea. I never knew the arc for the whole season ever.

[00:56:48] Ever. Maybe in the final season because I think Michael Grazzi was a bit more open with...

[00:56:55] Transparent.

[00:56:56] Yeah.

[00:56:56] Well, and he was like, what would you like to see your character? I remember I told him

[00:57:02] something that we'll get to when we get there. And he put it in. Can you believe it?

[00:57:06] Me too. And we'll get there when we get there too. I had a meeting with him and I came up

[00:57:11] with some ideas that were so... Just things that I had been floating around in my head

[00:57:17] and he put every single one in the season. It was so... I was like, wow. It felt like such

[00:57:27] a good sign of such respect for me and for us. He is just such a wonderful guy,

[00:57:34] but we will get there. We've got several seasons to get there.

[00:57:37] So that is it, Rachel, for season two of the Last Girl Rewatch podcast. Everyone listening,

[00:57:44] we thank you so much for being with us this season. We had fun doing it. I'm really proud

[00:57:49] of the episodes and I'm so grateful to all the guests that we had come on and take this

[00:57:55] little trip down memory lane with us. I cannot wait to have Tamsen here and we have to do makeup

[00:58:03] tutorials. When are we doing that? We're going to... Okay. I planned it all out in my mind.

[00:58:07] Oh my God. We're going to print out photos of us

[00:58:11] in Last Girl. We're going to have the photos and we have to try and match the makeup.

[00:58:17] Okay. And then we'll put a contest on Instagram, seeing who did it better.

[00:58:24] Oh my God. I'm already sweating. I'm sweating.

[00:58:27] My original idea was that we did it to each other.

[00:58:31] Yeah, but then we'll just look like clowns. I can't do me.

[00:58:35] I mean, yeah, as if I know. With this group of dogs,

[00:58:38] I say that we wrap it up. It's time to go and my dogs will be barking soon.

[00:58:43] We have 12 animals. Well, I have right now four animals in my...

[00:58:48] I have five. Three, you have five. So we have eight.

[00:58:52] That's ridiculous. There's a lot of animals. Yeah.

[00:58:57] In my defense, one of them is a foster. In my defense, there's no defense. I'm defenseless.

[00:59:02] I keep getting amazing dogs, but I think we're done. I think we're good. We'll see.

[00:59:10] But thank you to everybody listening. We will see you in season three, which we'll

[00:59:17] announce soon on socials. Yes.

[00:59:20] And in the meantime, enjoy the beginnings of summer.

[00:59:25] Absolutely. And you can listen to all past episodes on Apple or Spotify, wherever you
